1. I would define beauty in photography as being able to feel the emotion the person's facial expression and how the photographer chose the angle and lighting, it's almost like how the photographer see's that person's emotions and captures it at the perfect moment.
2. I don't believe you have to have photographic beauty physically, I believe it is the creativity of the photographer's personal opinion on what they think is photographically beautiful due to differences in photography styles.
3. I believe something "ugly" could be captured on film, for example I could set an ordinary garbage can in a corner and start taking pictures of it focusing on the depth of the picture. The photos could be considered weird in some peoples opinions and beautiful to others.
